On the first and third Saturday morning each month, from 9 am to 12 noon SJB will host a food drive. Please drive to the table in front of the Lyon Center and as you stay safe in your car, just pop your trunk or tailgate and we’ll unload your donation. Dry goods are preferred.
Archbishop Gregory will be celebrating the liturgies of Holy Week and Easter at The Cathedral of Saint Matthew. These celebrations will be available via live-stream on the Archdiocese of Washington YouTube channel.
For several years, our parish has played a role in getting previously homeless veterans established in permanent housing. In coordination with Housing Counseling Services, the referring agency, and the veterans’ case managers who work with the vets to secure housing and a support system, we provide “Welcome Home Kits”
As a result of Governor Hogan's order, Archbishop Gregory has indicated Masses open to the public, in ALL archdiocesan parishes, missions, and campus ministries will not be celebrated starting this Saturday, March 14 until further notice. Archbishop Gregory has also issued a dispensation from the obligation to attend Mass during this time to all parishioners of the Archdiocese of Washington.
Confessions will be available Wednesday evenings, 6:30 - 8 p.m. by driving to the Mary statue between the Rectory and the Church. At the statue, park then get out of your car and walk to the seated area by the statue. Fr. David or Fr. Cezary will be there for confessions. Please know that you can always schedule a confession by calling the Parish Office, 301-622-1122.

March 21 and 22, 2020 Our collection will benefit the St. Camillus and Mid-County United Ministries (MUM) Food Pantries. Please bring to Mass one or more items of non-expired, nonperishable food.
Jesus would often withdraw into a deserted place to commune with God in silence. For Lent, we offer opportunities to join Jesus in contemplative silence. Contemplative space is a time of silence and stillness set aside for meditation and contemplation.
Celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation during Lent. Wednesdays 6:30pm - 8:00pm during Lent, Saturdays 4:00pm - 4:45pm, Monday - Friday after morning Masses.
