Youth Ministry

Youth Ministry at SJB includes spiritual, social, and athletic programs for Middle School and High School Youth, as well as Religious Education for sixth through eighth grade and Sacramental Preparation for Confirmation.

For High School YouthEvery Sunday, from 6 – 8 p.m., following the 5 p.m. liturgy, high school students from around the area come together at St. John’s. The meetings are generally organized around a theme/activity and are social as well as spiritual. Other High School Youth Group activities include retreats, trips downtown to museums, fireworks and ice skating, cookouts and service projects. Anyone interested in joining our energetic and diverse group of teens should contact Marie Ferman.

For Middle School YouthSJB offers Religious Education for grades K-8, and Confirmation Preparation for those in eighth grade. SJB also hosts dances for seventh and eighth graders, as well as socials, movie nights, service trips, and other events designed to build community.

Cook Out Teen Ministry SJB

Youth Group activities include cookouts, Super Bowl parties, Gingerbread building contests, games, Youth band, and Youth-led Masses. All build comradely among youth members.
