Faith Formation Programs for Adults

St. John’s offers numerous ongoing and special event Faith Formation Programs for adults throughout the year. They each have a different focus, but all serve to deepen the individual’s relationship with God.

To learn more about lectures, classes, prayer groups and other faith formation programs at St. John the Baptist, contact  Director of Faith Formation or call 301-622-1122.

Parish Renewal

Every year, we offer a Parish Renewal. An outside facilitator visits St. John’s and leads us in Mass and gives daily presentations. While there is a different theme every year, the Renewal’s purpose remains the same—to refocus our attention on our faith and on living a life centered on the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Called and Gifted

The gifts of Healing, Service, Prophecy, Encouragement, and Leadership are just a few of the possible Individual Spiritual Gifts given to us.  St. Paul refers to our Individual Spiritual Gifts in Romans 12: 6-8.

What Individual Spiritual Gifts have you been given?  The Catherine of Siena Institute has developed a small group workshop program to help you discern which of the twenty-four most common Individual Spiritual Gifts have been given to you.
